Those are interesting insights (and your experiments too), thanks for sharing! I too am curious how we will get to the better measurement of the gestures and what might be the technology for that.

I think customers definitely can accept a certain level of discomfort/extra devices/tattoo if the gestures make their lives easier or more fun. Just like it happens to be with AR and VR, — because the experience is so different than the regular gaming or TV, it becomes an added value on its own. Because of that a headset does not feel like a burden to wear.

I think same goes for gestures, they can work well in the consumer market (whichever technology wins), but only after a suitable use/added value is found for them.
